Arriaga, Nadia

Position: Teacher & Spanish Instructor

Hello/¡Hola! I am Mrs. (Señora) Nadia Arriaga. I have had the immense joy, honor, and blessing of teaching here at our school since August 2016. My roles here at our school are twofold: primarily, I serve as the Spanish teacher, instructing Spanish 1A through 3B to both our full-time and part-time students, and I also teach the multiple subjects to students in 6th through 12th Grades. I am very excited to teach all of my students and also help them develop & live a strong walk with our Lord. I bring to Calvary Preparatory Academy a wealth of teaching experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. I am a native Spanish speaker with articulate fluency. Our Lord has truly blessed me with the opportunity to learn and speak Spanish with my own family and friends since birth. My husband, Mr. Lawrence Arriaga, taught at Calvary Preparatory Academy for twelve years. We have been married for over twenty years and have two amazing children. We are very committed to our relationship with our Lord, as well as to our children’s education. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family & friends, cooking, reading books from all areas of knowledge, using paper planners, and watching football. I look forward to meeting all of our students and families as well as working with the other staff members from Calvary Preparatory Academy.

Mrs. Nadia Arriaga holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies (Multiple Subject Teaching Track with an English/Spanish Bilingual Emphasis), a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in World Languages: Spanish all from Chapman University in Orange, California.

Jared Beck

Beck, Jared

Position: Director/Founder

Hello everyone! My name is Jared Beck and I have been the Director of CPA since God first planted a vision to start the school back in 2009. It is so amazing to see all that God had planned from that initial vision come to fruition! I look forward to seeing CPA continue to bless students, families, and communities across the world as it has for the past decade.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wife in our town of San Marcos, CA. We have two children: our son is 20 and a daughter who is with Jesus as of February 2025 after a battle with osteosarcoma. On the weekends and holidays we often camp and go on road trips to all the beautiful beaches and mountains here in California. I have been playing guitar, piano, and singing for most of my life and it’s something I love to do. I am also a little bit of a gardening fanatic; I have a green house and hundreds of varieties of plants. For fitness I enjoy surfing, hiking, running, and training in the Israeli martial art known as Krav Maga. I also love to travel!

For several years I have had the privilege of serving as a board member for a 120 year-old Jewish Christian organization known as the American-European Bethel Mission.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, right down to help with your individual homework.

Mr. Beck holds a California Administrative Services Credential and a BA in Philosophy and Theology from Point Loma Nazarene University, a Masters in Education and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in social science from Azusa Pacific University.

Beck, Kimberly

Position: School Advancement Strategist

Hello! My name is Kimberly Beck and I am the School Advancement Strategist here at CPA since April 2020. I am responsible for school fundraising, communications, marketing and promotion, as well as developing our amazing school community in conjunction with our Parent Ambassador Committee (PAC) and our teachers and administration. My favorite thing in the world is getting our students more connected with each other – whether that is in person or virtually!

Prior to my position here at CPA, I worked as a paralegal in San Diego County for the past 16+ years. I was blessed to have been a part of the school’s founding back in 2009, and I have served as a board member since that time as well. It has been amazing to watch God grow the school from one student in 2009 to over 400 students served from all over the world!

As you can see, I share the same last name with the director. :) Mr. Beck and I met on the small island of Molokai, Hawaii in 1998 while doing missions, and have been married now for over 26 years. We share two beautiful children: a daughter who is in Heaven and a son who is earth-side. We were a homeschooling family for 9 years. In my free time, I love opening our home to spend quality time with family and friends, and getting to know new people that God brings our way. I also love to travel with our family, whether that’s a short road trip or around the world.

If you are a parent or a student and want to get more involved in our school community outside of classes, please get in touch with me! I’m excited to get you connected!

Mrs. Kimberly Beck holds a BA in English Literature from University of North Georgia.
