Online Bible Classes
In order to fully educate students in the articles of the Christian faith, Calvary Preparatory Academy offers a series of Bible school Online Courses. These courses are designed to familiarize students with biblical studies as well as tenets of the Christian faith:

Old Testament Survey
- Prerequisites: None
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Fall & Spring

This course is a survey of the Hebrew Bible from Genesis to Malachi. Students learn the composition, authorship, historical context, literary and theological content of the Old Testament as well as the study of major themes such as the revelation of Jesus Christ in the Old Testament scriptures.
New Testament Survey
- Prerequisites: None (Prior completion of Old Testament Survey suggested)
- Length: One semester

This course is a survey of the New Testament scriptures from The Gospel According to Matthew to The Apocalypse of John. Students learn the composition, authorship, historical context, literary and theological content of the New Testament as well as the study of major themes.
Tenets of the Christian Faith
- Prerequisites: None
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Year Round-Fall, Spring, & Summer

This course covers all of the major tenets of the Christian faith, both historical and contemporary in an analysis of major themes such as: the definition of “Christian,” Christian diversity, baptism, communion, and other topics.
Old Testament Independent Study
- Prerequisites: None (Prior completion of New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey and Tenets of the Christian Faith suggested)
- Length: One semester
- Availability: Fall & Spring
In conjunction with their teacher, students identify a custom study topic and develop a custom plan, complete with identified assessments and benchmarks.
New Testament Independent Study
- Prerequisites: None (Prior completion of New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey and Tenets of the Christian Faith suggested)
- Length: One semester

World Religions

This course is a study of major world religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Islam as well as emerging world views such as secular humanism, agnosticism, and atheism. Students study universal themes such as suffering, evil, morality, concepts of deity, and the afterlife.
Church History A & B
- Prerequisites: None (Prior completion of New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey and Tenets of the Christian Faith suggested. Recommended for Upperclassmen)
- Length: Two semesters
- Availability: Year Round-Fall, Spring, & Summer
This course is a study of the people of God, beginning with the Israelite election, through the grafting in of the Gentiles, and the worldwide spread of the church through the ages into the modern era. In addition to the traditional emphasis on European church history, the course gives ample attention to the spread of the church in other regions of the world, both historically and contemporary. This course is divided into two semesters: the first spanning the election of Israel through the late medieval church just prior to the early reformers, and the second spanning from the early reformers to the modern, world-wide, church.
