Use Your Education Savings Account at Calvary Prep Academy

Calvary Preparatory Academy is an approved ESA provider in Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wyoming. More states will be added this year. If your family participates in an Education Savings Account (ESA) program, you may be able to use those funds to cover tuition at CPA — with no out-of-pocket cost. We’re proud to make a Christ-centered, WASC-accredited education accessible to more families through these programs.

ESA program details change from year to year. The information below reflects our understanding as of July 2026 — please confirm current eligibility, award amounts, and deadlines directly with the Tennessee Department of Education before making enrollment decisions.

What Is an ESA?

An Education Savings Account (ESA) is a state-funded account that gives families the freedom to direct their child’s education dollars toward the school or program that best fits their needs — including accredited private and online schools like Calvary Prep Academy. ESA funds can typically be used for tuition, enrollment fees, and qualifying educational expenses. Each state program has its own eligibility requirements and account amounts.

Arkansas — Education Freedom Account (EFA)

Arkansas’s EFA gives every K–12 student in the state funds toward private school tuition and qualifying educational expenses, with no income limit. Calvary Prep Academy is an approved school, and payments are processed through ClassWallet. Scholarship amount: $7,208 per student for 2026–27, paid in four quarterly deposits. Applications are reviewed by priority category (students with disabilities, homelessness, or foster care; military, law enforcement, or first-responder families; students from D- or F-rated schools; then remaining applicants) rather than strictly first-come, first-served — so families should apply as early in the window as possible.

  • Program administered by: Arkansas Department of Education (Division of Elementary and Secondary Education)

  • Payment platform: ClassWallet
  • Eligible grades at CPA: 6–12
  • Application window for 2026–27: March 9 – June 1 (new students apply via the FACTS portal; returning students renew through ClassWallet)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use my ESA funds to cover the enrollment fee?

EFA funds can typically be used for tuition and qualifying educational expenses. The enrollment fee ($175 for full-time, $50 for part-time) may or may not be covered depending on program guidelines. Contact the Arkansas Department of Education to confirm.

What if my state isn’t listed here?

We are actively pursuing ESA provider approval in additional states. If your state isn’t listed, contact us — we may be in the process of getting approved, or we can help you explore other payment options including our scholarship programs.

Do I need to re-apply each school year?

Yes — Arkansas EFA requires families to apply or renew every year during the annual application window (March 9–June 1 for 2026–27). CPA will work with you each year to provide the documentation needed for your ClassWallet payments.

Can I use ESA funds for part-time enrollment or a single course?

Yes — CPA offers both full-time and single-course enrollment. Confirm with the Arkansas Department of Education whether EFA funds can be applied to partial enrollment.

Who decides if I qualify and how much I receive?

Eligibility, award amounts, priority processing, and funding timing are determined entirely by the Arkansas Department of Education — not by Calvary Prep Academy. We’re happy to help with the enrollment side, but questions about your specific eligibility, application status, or award should go directly to the Arkansas Department of Education through the FACTS portal or your ClassWallet account.

Please Note: ESA program rules, eligibility requirements, award amounts, and application deadlines are set and administered by the Arkansas Department of Education, not by Calvary Preparatory Academy.
