How It Works
Our program of study at Calvary Prep is unlike any other online school. Asking a student to watch videos all day and then take a test does not lend itself to inspired learning. At CPA, we place our students’ spiritual and academic well-being at the forefront of everything we do.
- Flexibility with accountability
- Rigorous college-prep curriculum (not credit recovery), WASC accredited (7-12) and NCAA approved courses

- Independent study model with interactive, engaging curriculum that prepares your student for college
- Live, one-on-one, web meetings with your assigned credentialed teacher for instruction, support and grading.
- Daily live workshops, tutoring and open office hours for additional support
- Student interaction and team building

How it Works
Curriculum Demo
At Calvary Preparatory Academy, our online middle school/junior high program (Grades 6-8) is specifically designed to provide flexibility and accountability. Our curriculum is based on a blended model, incorporating elements of independent study with live, interactive teacher support. Students are able to access their Christian high school online course material 24 hours a day, 7 days per week from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
CPA courses are extremely engaging, and include interactive animations, audio components, videos, study sheets, flashcards and other learning tools to enhance their learning process, all while maintaining strict academic standards. Lessons also contain practice problems with hints and answers provided, followed by formal online quizzes to help assess a student’s knowledge of their courses. Some of these materials include document uploads and video presentations as well as oral tests completed during the live, weekly meetings with their teachers.
Students meet virtually with their teachers each week to review their assigned coursework and present their body of completed work back to their teacher. This also provides the student with ample time to troubleshoot any questions they might have, or to go over new subject matter with their teacher, as needed. Their teacher will also grade assignments live with the students to show where improvement could be made in the future. CPA teachers are incredibly caring and student-focused, and in addition to scheduled weekly meetings, they offer open-office hours and workshops throughout the week if your student needs additional assistance. Private tutoring is also available for an additional cost.
If parents are interested, they are more than welcome to participate in any of the weekly student/teacher meetings. We strive for these sessions to help provide accountability for our online students. We also record all virtual sessions for administrative purposes. Should you have any additional questions, please contact the school office.
